「利水興農外業巡查平台」提供地圖導引、圖層套疊、定位導航、工程測量、妨礙水利案件巡查表、閘門檢查表、渠道檢查表、河水堰檢查表、橡皮壩檢查表、倒伏堰檢查表、引水狀況檢查表、緊急災害巡查表、緊急雇工勘查表等功能。
當使用者外業巡查時，可透過「利水興農外業巡查平台APP」於外業現場進行妨礙水利案件、水閘門、渠道、河水堰、橡皮壩、倒伏堰、引水狀況、緊急災害、緊急雇工等巡查作業，或工程測量時，將巡查的結果透過APP記錄或拍照，並將資料上傳至本系統進行後續資料維護作業，亦可在地圖上進行定位，配合本系統相關功能進行相關的維修或工程作業規劃等作業。
