“智慧校园”通过“智能学生卡结合校园安全平台“的应用，以新城区教育局数字化信息网络为基础，构建了智慧新城指挥中心、教育局和学校三级校园安全监管服务平台，由政府、学校、家长全参与，实现校园管理、校园安全和家校互动等智慧化应用的全覆盖。
校园安全监控是教育城域网的一个重要功能，正逐步接入教育局域网络监控平台及智慧城区指挥中心监控平台，通过两大平台可以快速高效的查看网络监控摄像头，及时掌握校外安全状态，实现24小时技防、人防全覆盖。
