格非三部曲是作者呕心沥血十余年，深入思考并描写一百年来中国社会、历史、知识分子等问题的系列作品的三部曲。前两部，《人面桃花》写的是民国初年的知识人对精神世界和社会理想的探索；《山河入梦》写的是五六十年代知识分子的梦想和社会实践，而《春尽江南》则对准了当下中国的精神现实。
