「世界社工日」為每年3月份的第3個星期二。每年「世界社工日」皆按當時的社會環境訂定主題，開展各種慶祝活動。
為響應這一國際盛事，香港多個社會工作組織、大專院校和社工學生團體成立了 「社工日(香港)籌備委員會」。希望透過每年社工日(香港)的一系列活動如：長跑, whatsapp sticker 比賽，增進社會民眾對社會工作的認同、強調社會工作者的倡議角色和提升社會工作者的專業形象。此APP 將用作發放社工日資訊，活動消息及下載貼圖。
