绕口令是中国一种传统的语言游戏,又称“急口令”,“吃口令”,“拗口令”.由于它是将若干双声,叠词词汇或发音相同,相近的语,词有意集中在一起,组成简单,有趣的语韵,要求快速念出,所以读起来使人感到节奏感强,妙趣横生.
关于绕口令的产生,可以间接地追寻到5000多年前的黄帝时代.古籍中侥幸保存下来的《弹歌》“晰竹,续竹,飞土”,相传为黄帝时所作.据考证,这是比较接近于原始形态的歌谣.其中,已经有了绕口令的基本成分——双声叠韵词.由此推想,很可能在文字出现以前,绕口令就已经萌动于人民群众的口头语言之中了.
