在游戏中，玩家将随机扮演楚(黑)汉(红)其中一个阵营。不同阵营的角色可以相互攻击
每个阵营都有7种等级的角色：将 > 士 > 象 > 車 > 馬 > 炮 > 兵 (兵 > 将)
高等级的角色可以攻击比自己等级低或相同的角色，若攻击比自己高的角色，自己则会扣血。
当击败一个玩家后，你的角色会提升一个等级和金币奖励，最高等级为：将
场景中还随机分布着一些旗子，把旗子提交到自己对应阵营的基地中，也可以升级和获得金币
玩家初始状态的角色等级是隐藏的(?)，被攻击或攻击别的角色后会显示出来
