傳統教學對於地形地貌的單元，大都是利用平面並輔以影片及教科書的方式進行教學，所學到的地質知識，但事實上學生對於地質現象總是一知半解。
對於認識等高線單元之3D對應2D的觀念，部分學習落後或第一次接觸的學生來說很難理解。
目前流行砂箱實驗可以模擬許多地質特徵。透過玩砂的過程，學生們更容易吸收地質的新知識。然而普及性是最大的問題。
因此，我們著手來打造高互動性且可以隨身攜帶，利用紙筆產生地形的AR教學套件，增加學習樂趣及擴展地理知識。
