App Store Description

The Miami Waterkeeper Pollution Reporting App was designed to make it easy and fast to report pollution incidents you see in your community. Open the app, click report, and fill out a detailed form of the incident you have witnessed!

We are a small staff with well over 470 miles of waterways, including coastline, canals, rivers, and other water bodies, in Miami Dade and Broward counties, so we need your help to make sure water pollution doesn’t go unnoticed! This app supports our growing patrol team (1,000 Eyes on the Water) and is a valued part of our organization that allows us to ensure pollution issues are found over a large geographic range.

Curious about what you will be reporting? Things like Location (address, coordinates, landmarks), Type of Pollution, Observed Habitat Destruction, Boats/Companies Involved, Photos/Videos, and Time will be characteristics you will need to fill out a complete report! Our reporting form embedded within the app will assist with easy completion!

Remember, safety first. Never inhale or directly contact potentially hazardous substances. Do not attempt to clean up or mitigate any spill, discharge, or potentially hazardous material. Follow all boating safety laws. Do not confront anyone. Do not trespass. Do not interfere with business operations or ongoing activities.

We look forward to having you utilize our organization’s app to help you be prepared for any pollution incident that you may come across in and around our waterways!
