11 Plus Cloze

DEVELOPED BY AN EXPERIENCED 11 PLUS TEACHER

The 11 plus Cloze app questions have been written by Rachel Higgins from 11pluspass.co.uk. Rachel has an Honours Degree, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education and a Masters Degree in Education. Her qualifications read BA (Hons), PGCE, MA Ed.
Rachel has been teaching in schools since 1987 and teaching the 11 plus for over 15 years. Her services as an 11 plus teacher are very much in demand. Parents of previous students recommend her highly.

11 PLUS CLOZE APP

This 11 plus Cloze app has been designed to help develop a child’s ability to use semantic and syntactic clues. Some of the Cloze procedures in this 11 plus app contain:

Homophones: two or more words that have the same pronunciation but different meanings e.g. There and Their and They’re.

Idioms: expressions whose meaning is not deducible from the meaning of the individual words e.g. "over the moon" means extremely pleased or happy.

This 11 plus Cloze app covers all the original short Cloze exercises in the 11 plus pass Cloze book (paper copy available from www.11pluspass.co.uk) plus 44 extra questions. At present, there are no in-app purchases but there will be the opportunity to add on more Cloze questions to this app in the near future.
