App Store Description

The NAIS People of Color Conference is a leadership development experience that provides people of color (and experienced allies of all backgrounds) a unique space for learning, networking, and engaging critical conversations about the ways race and ethnicity influence all areas of independent school life, climate, and culture. In its 28th year, the PoCC serves member schools, their faculty, and students by affirming without question the lived experience of people who by virtue of their racial or ethnic identity occupy a minority status in our schools or society at large.

Further, the PoCC advances multiple perspective-taking and culturally-competent practice in NAIS member schools through its content selection and delivery, keynote speakers, practitioner-led workshops, and extensive affinity dialogue sessions.
