The 2019 EGPA Conference is an excellent opportunity for all the participants to be engaged with the EGPA Community and to take part to the different activities proposed during the event: pre-conference Symposium for PhD Students and young researchers, plenary sessions with well-known keynote speakers, panels, parallel sessions of the 22 EGPA Permanent Study Groups, the French Speaking Seminar, and other interesting sessions of the newly established consolidated track.
The 2019 EGPA Conference theme is Public Administration across Borders. In a time of re-bordering and border shifting, both virtual and real, public administration research has an important role to play in how we understand and shape these transnational developments, especially in the context of Brexit. We will have distinguished speakers for the opening session dedicated to this topic and stimulating discussions with the audience regarding PA across Borders and the Brexit. During the 2019 EGPA Conference we will also organise three parallel panels on the following themes: Panel 1: Brexit, Northern Ireland and Borders; Panel 2: Governance in Contested Cities; Panel 3: The French Speaking Seminar Round Table: Responsive Administrations? A Ballet of Disconnections and Reconnections. Other panels and joint sessions of the Permanent Study Groups will be also organized.

The European Group for Public Administration (EGPA) is the regional group of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS).
