REACH Edmonton brought together Homeward Trust, Boyle Street Community Services, Hope Mission and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner to develop an app for Edmonton’s street outreach workers.
The 24/7 Edmonton mobile app will be used by street outreach workers to identify hotspots for vulnerable individuals in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
The app will assist clients, staff and agencies by ensuring that:
• Clients are not repeatedly asked to share personal information;
• Staff can easily track information about their clients in near real-time;
• Agencies can use the data to help support their service plans and allocation of resources.
24/7 Edmonton was designed to support the workflow of outreach workers in the field while remaining compatible with the software outreach teams are already using.
