These sounds are recorded with a special microphones that are fit on human ( or dummy) ears. By recording sounds that reach to the microphones, it successfully recorded the sounds as it is including the interaural time differences and volume differences by left and right ears. As the sounds are so natural, you will feel as if you are in the location where giving forth these sounds when you hear them through your headset.
