A Colorful Melancholy

Through an augmented reality application, explore the home of an endearing little ghost and help her make peace with her colorful yet inexplicable sorrow.

Ariette, the ghost, is filled with sadness, but she no longer remembers why. She seeks the assistance of the player to help her recollect and uncover what troubles her. Using augmented reality on their phone, the duo embarks on an exploration of the ghost's house. Behind each opened door, an object comes to life, sometimes triggering a memory for Ariette. The little ghost recalls a clue that she shares with the player to find the next door to open. Not all doors advance Ariette's story and memories, but they all hold surprises. Finally, when her memory returns, Ariette guides the player to the fourth door, understanding both the source of her distress and its solution.

A Colorful Nostalgia combines the joy of listening to a story with the excitement of a treasure hunt. Ariette tells her tale in a poetic and vivid manner as we discover the whimsical universe of her house.
