Referred to as the ‘Mozart of Madras’, Described as the world's most prominent and prolific film composer by Time Magazine, they had also named him one of the ‘100 most influential people’ on the planet in 2009. The UK based World Music magazine Songlines named him one of 'Tomorrow's World Music Icons' in August 2011.
