What is it about?
ABStudio is the interactive 3D iteration of Amir Baradaran’s personal website. The app features a collection of rooms through which the user can travel. Each room features documentation relating to one of his projects. In total, the space is a virtual museum, an architecture and an archive of the artist’s oeuvre that extends past the two-dimensional surfaces of traditional textual and photographic interfaces. As with much of Baradaran’s work, the site queries the shift towards 3-dimensional media, instantiating new informational and aesthetic blocks of our future p{AR}adigm. The user is enabled to ambulate through space and over time, encountering each room as a spatiotemporal configuration of performance. Users can:
