Able Engineering (Stock Code: 1627) was established in 1976 and is a well-established multi-discipline construction corporation in building construction, repair, maintenance, alternation & addition works, building conversion, design and build as well as fitting out works. As a main building contractor, ABLE is proactively researching and promoting innovation technology, to share the convenience and efficiency with the industry which innovation technology can bring.

The construction materials make an important part of the building quality, it must be stringently controlled and monitored systematically in order to ensure that the materials are checked properly during the approval process, delivery, storage and use. Therefore, ABLE has lauched a research and development project on image recognition of construction materials. Using mobile application as a platform, staff can obtain the relevant information promptly by capturing images of construction material or inputting keywords. This image recognition technology not only facilitates instant material search, but also allows management in supervising and monitoring the status of routine checking through this platform.
