ACE Surgery

ACE Surgery facilitates easy, on-demand, performance assessment and record-keeping of surgical competencies in any context: hospitals, clinics, medical centers, other areas of professional practice, and training. It can be used with any of the numerous validated performance assessment instruments in the ACE Surgery library for clinical performance, surgical performance, professionalism, teamwork, patient management, administration, education, etc.

Adaptable, Precise Measurement
ACE Surgery performance assessment encompass a broad selection of scales with varying precision for formative and summative applications.

Draft, Save, Edit
Assessments may be completed in the moment or saved as a draft to be completed at a later time. Completed assessments are editable after completion to accommodate additional information, such as specific feedback notes, media files, or other supporting documentation.

Attach Media Documentation
Media documentation may be attached at any time to performance assessments using the mobile device’s media capture resources (photo, video, or audio clip).

Real-time Scoring Visualization
Completed assessments are easily viewed within ACE Surgery, including:
1) Item scores; 2) performance standard score; 3) previous performance score; and 4) cohort performance scores. Scores are sent directly to the individual/group assessed, with the option of sending reports to others (faculty, preceptors, supervisors, etc.). Assessment report documentation is easily archived for portfolio management.
