ACTU Congress 2018

Congress 2018 will take place on Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th of July at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, a Welcome Reception on the evening of Monday 16 July. There will be an opportunity for pre-congress meetings on the 16th July 2018.

Congress is designed to set the agenda for the following three years and elect the leadership of the ACTU along with other office-holders. Delegates will debate and vote on policies regarding workplace rights and campaigns to improve wages, conditions and the standard of living for Australian workers and their families.

This event is not only important and critical for the ACTU and our movement, but will also be an opportunity for affiliates to network with comrades; be exposed to educative and interesting plenary sessions; be engaged by high profile guest speakers; be involved in the decision making around policy agenda and campaign planning; and an opportunity to attend Women’s and Superannuation Luncheons; Fringe Events, and Congress Dinner.
