App Store Description

AerApp is an application for mobile devices. It can be downloaded and installed directly from Appstore and used on iOS terminals with operating system 11.4.1 or higher.
AerApp allows you to manage AERMEC heating and air-conditioning systems via your smartphone or tablet, at any time and place. The machines or systems must offer the possibility to be connected to the Aerlink wi-fi gateway by means of an RS485 serial port.
The Aermec products that can be connected to Aerlink, and therefore managed via AerApp, are: VMF system via VMF-E5 area control, the following ranges of chillers and/or heat pumps - ANL, ANK, ANKi, CL, NRL, NRB, NRK, NLC.
All machines or devices that can be connected to Aerlink must have the relative RS485 serial communication accessory.
To access the system control functions from a distance, the Aerlink gateway must be connected to the Internet via wi-fi.
The resulting control system enables communication with the AERMEC cloud, providing the user with the operating status and commands of the air-conditioning system via AerApp.
With the AerApp application on your telephone or tablet, you can even control several systems (up to 5) as long as they are all connected to a single, suitably configured AerLink module.
In the absence of Internet access, you can manage the single system locally with AerApp, transforming your smart device (telephone or tablet) into the remote control for your air-conditioning or heating system.
To associate a system with a device, first of all assign it a name. You will then be asked to supply the AERLINK serial number of the single device, and the relative activation code. This is followed by a request for the SSID of the wi-fi that you want to connect the AerLink module to, along with the relative password.
The menu will show the list of systems controlled by the device, each identified by a name and an icon indicating the connection mode (cloud or local).
New systems can be added to the list of those controlled by the device (until the maximum number of 5 is reached), and systems can be removed from the list.
AerApp can be installed and started up on more than one terminal, and the user can log in with his/her credentials on different terminals. The systems connected to the user's AERMEC cloud will be available on all the logged terminals.
For each single system controlled, you can see the status (ON/OFF, heating/cooling mode) and the operation of the various elements: domestic hot water storage tank, heat pump, fan coil areas. Any active alarms are also shown, and you can see the details of such alarms as well.
It's also possible to control the system from a distance - ON/OFF, season changeover (only with the system disabled), set-point and operating modes of the individual areas and the single system components.
If the connection is to just one machine, you can control ON/OFF, operating mode (if heat pump), set-point for water production temperature, and any possible operating anomalies.
An energy meter (distributed by Aermec) can be combined both with systems and with single machines, to monitor their electricity consumption.
Last but not least, AerApp also shows you the AERMEC Technical Assistance Services, with the relative contact info (telephone number and address).
The Aermec cloud and AerApp do NOT memorise any data regarding user preferences. They merely allow the user to enable or disable commands from a distance.
