With Aid-Mem, you no longer need worry about forgetting important events and tasks.
It answers the key questions: will I remember, did I remember and where was I?
Aid-Mem reminds you of tasks and events and also keeps track of where and when the reminder was issued and whether it was acknowledged.
Aid-Mem is advertisement free and device-based, keeping your data private.

How could Aid-Mem be used?

1. Reminders activating other reminders - issue a reminder email if an important task/event has been missed.
2. Emailing your friends automatically when you arrive at a location.
3. Interrogating the app’s database using simple natural language queries for past locations and events.
4. Viewing your past whereabouts on a map for a selectable date range.
5. Generate a reminder when entering or leaving a preset location (uses geofences).

Here are some of the key features:

SIMPLE NATURAL LANGUAGE INTERFACE - VoxRem
The VoxRem screen allows a spoken or written simple natural language interaction with the app.
The following functions may be performed:

1. Reminder creation.
2. Request for spoken reports about past events or reminders.
3. Creation of a named location representing the current location.
4. Setting some of the reminder defaults.

Prompts and keywords are automatically provided as the dictation proceeds. Spoken feedback is provided. (For dictation, press the keyboard’s microphone key).

AGENDA
The agenda shows future and past reminders and/or locations for the next and previous week.

CALENDAR
The monthly calendar allows selection of past, future and present agenda days.

LOCATIONS MAP
The searchable map allows the addition and removal of locations that may be linked to reminders. Locations have an entering or leaving trigger as well as circular region whose diameter may be changed (geofencing).

REMINDERS
Reminders may be repeated and/or acknowledged. They may belong to another reminder and may be linked to one or several locations. When the reminder becomes due, it may be spoken (app must be active), displayed using an alert/notification or emailed.
If specified, a warning alert/notification may be issued up to an hour before the reminder is due.

LOG
The logs screens show recent history for all reminders or history for a selected reminder. The history details when the reminder was issued, acknowledged, not acknowledged or missed.

REMINDER SUMMARY
The Reminder Summary screen shows summaries by day, week, month and all time. Coloured bars indicate ratios of issued to acknowledged, not acknowledged and missing. For the All Time summary, the average wait time between issuance and acknowledgement is displayed.

LOCATION TRACKING
Aid-Mem automatically stores your location on the hour, every hour. The location history can be accessed via the Agenda and Calendar screens and using the VoxRem “My Location” question.
This feature can be disabled.

LOCATION REPORTING
Comprehensive reporting on your previous locations. For your selectable date range, produces a list or a map. The list may be either a detailed chronological list, or a summary showing total duration at each location. The map shows a pin for each location. Tapping on a pin allows access to a detailed report for that location. (Requires location tracking to be enabled).

HELP
There are general help pages and help pages per screen

iCloud
There is an option to backup the Aid-Mem data in the iCloud. This also allows Aid-Mem data to be synced across your devices.

EMAIL
Aid-Mem can send automatic emails once a reminder is issued. To use the automatic email option, you will need an SMTP email server account.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
