During their visit to cancer clinics for treatments, the medical information sheets given to patients provide useful information about drug(s) and the list of side effects but do not provide the rationale, mechanism of action and the benefit of these treatments over a long interval of time. In addition, the level of patients’ understanding of these crucial pieces of information remains questionable at best. The challenge is to bridge this gap of information and facilitate the explanations from oncologists to let the patients easily understand all the information needed. Furthermore, the Oncologist’s time may also be saved otherwise consumed in subsequent visits by patient/s.

This App is specially designed for the patients prescribed with Aromatase Inhibitor. App explains, by using interactive pictures, about actions of Osteoclast and Osteoblast in normal and cancer conditions.

Drug action section of this app provides mechanism of action of Aromatase Inhibitor and its effect in cancer cancer conditions.

Although App is interactive and in easy to understand format but for additional support for understanding, help text is also included in relevant sections. A voice engine is also available on button click which may read out the help text. In case of further explanations from health care provider(s), Patient may draw on screen using various colours, make a screen capture and email to concerned. No private information related health is recorded in the app.
