Alias - guess party game

Alias is a board game, where the objective of the players is to explain words to each other. Hence, Alias is similar to Taboo, but the only forbidden word in the explanations is the word to be explained. The game is played in teams of varying size, and fits well as a party game for larger crowds. The game is very competitive.

In Alias you have to say things in “other words”. The idea is to explain words using synonyms, opposites or clues so that your team mates guess as many words from the card as possible before the sand in the sand timer runs out. The team moves forward on the board the same amount as words guessed. The team to reach the ‘Finish’ first is the winner.

How to play

1. Create teams. 

2. Choose themes for game round. 

3. Each team chooses a player who explains on the first round. The cards each have one word on them. When the team guesses the correct answer he swipes the card right and starts explaining the next card, if team can't guess the word player can skip it.

4. When the sand in the sand timer runs out, the other teams yell “stop”.

5. The turn goes to the next team.
6. The team that is the first to reach ‘Finish’ is the winner.
