ALICE is a searchable system containing information on the legal requirements of standard 20-cigarette packs.
ALICE system allows a real-time assessment of the correspondence between the labelling of a cigarette pack and the requirements in the declared destination country.
This could help in the identification of illicit whites brands during their transit through ports or free trade zones.
ALICE is designed by Crime&tech (www.crimetech.it). Crime&tech is the spin-off company founded in 2015 by the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and the researchers of Transcrime – Research Centre on Transnational Crime (www.transcrime.it). It develops analyses, models and tools to assess, prevent and reduce security and crime risks.
