تميزت دلمون هَجَر الأحساء بتجارة العطور وصناعة البخور الهَجَري (أرض هجر) ( البحرين) _ التي تمتد سابقا من البصرة إلى عُمان_ بالتجارة العالمية بين بلدان شرق آسيا وحوض البحر المتوسط وجنوب أفريقيا أو مايسمى (طريق الحرير)_ .. كان البخور الفاخر يعد ويصنع محليا ويصدر للدول المجاورة .
