The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) Marine Pilot Reporting Mobile Application (App) is primarily an information-sharing tool to help improve maritime safety.
The App assists Australian marine pilots to easily notify AMSA where non-compliance with pilot transfer requirements is suspected.
Suspected instances of non-compliance with the SOLAS and/or ISO requirements associated with pilot ladders and pilot transfer arrangements should be notified to AMSA as soon as possible.
Many useful information resources regarding pilot transfer arrangements are contained in the App including the IMO Pilot Boarding Poster, IMO Resolutions, ISO 799, relevant Marine Notices etc.
The App can also be used to report general marine safety concerns via AMSA's online Form 355.
