Since young I was exposed to the term Financial Freedom. I know I want to achieve it but I never knew the actual meaning of it. Until the age of 24, I chanced upon the role of Financial Consultancy which made me acquire the knowledge of managing finances and the knowledge to become financially free.

As I learn I also realised that many people do not achieve financial freedom, not because they do not have a way with accumulating wealth but because of some unforeseen events which swept out a good amount of their savings. This is what we term ‘Risk Management’.
Living blissfully, I have two children. I applied the knowledge I gained in this career to financially protect my family and myself with some policies including; Hospital, Accident, Life and Savings plan.

As children grow they become more active, and have frequent falls and bumps while they play and explore. There was once when my elder child injured her head from a fall while rolling playfully on the bed. My wife and I got so worried, we brought her to seek proper medical attention which could have cost us a bomb! A series of other incidences like common viral attacks and check-ups made me feel so thankful that I have equipped my family with proper plans, which helped us foot the bill for the medical attention they needed while leaving the family savings untouched.
Personally, due to my existing conditions, I have very little protection in placed as I either got rejected by Insurers or would have to bear extraordinary premiums. I feel that it is a pity as I would have gotten myself protected just few years ago if I had the knowledge I have right now. This becomes a strong motivation for me in my career as a financial consultant and also as an educator, especially to people with the same situations.

I understand that learning is essential especially in this industry, so I constantly upgrade myself. I have completed modules with the Associate Financial Consultant and have plans to achieve Chartered Financial Consultant in the near future.

Together with my passion and hardwork, I rose to the rank of Senior Executive Manager in a short period and currently have an awesome team of 12 planners.
