App Store Description

On behalf of the AOPO Executive Committee, the Program Committee and our host OPO, Washington Regional Transplant Community, WELCOME to National Harbor, Maryland for the 35th Annual Meeting of the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations.

We will gather this year in the wake of the most successful year in deceased organ donation in our history, a testament to the committed members of the OPO community, and the generosity and grace of our organ and tissue donor families.

Our theme this year is Points of Light – Unleash the Power! We want to “unleash the power” of the OPO community to further advance our life-saving mission. This year has seen an increased focus on standardization, system assessment, and improvement. I believe that together we can fully realize the potential for donation and transplantation in our country.

A special thank you goes out to meeting chair, Bruce Nicely, and vice-chair, Sam Davis, for leading the planning process. Additionally, special gratitude to the Annual Meeting Faculty, Elling Eidbo, AOPO Chief Executive Officer, and the AOPO staff for their hard work in preparation for this knowledge-filled week.

Prepare to arrive to the Nation’s capital areas and build on the successes!
