App Store Description

Keeping Appalachian Hikers safe and family and friends informed of location to know you have arrived safe and sound. This app is for the Appalachian Hikers. The app will let family and friends follow you and will receive updates of where you are in the trail and your messages.

For hikers allows you to keep in touch with your followers by providing your location when you check in only, not all the time. Also lets you keep in touch with your hiker family and let them know the location of shelters, water, trail magic, trail angel.

Everyday, you can drop a message in the map for every hiker to to see.

The map will only show Appalachian trail hikers and their progress with the story and breadcrumbs.

The app only uses the location when you post a message in a location, does not use the location services or GPS to track you.

This app does not replace your spot. The app uses cellular or wifi data only and won't work in places without wifi nor cellular coverage.

The Appalachian trail is the most hiked trail in the US. A good communication between hikers is important.

The app is suggested to help family and friends see the progress of the hikers they follow.
