App Store Description

This version of Multitone Appear is a ‘receive only’ app, just like a pager with the added feature of call confirmation. On receipt of a message, the app automatically sends a device acknowledgement and on the recipient’s reading of the message, a read receipt.

Research shows that not everyone needs the ability to send and receive messages. In fact, most messages require someone to either take an action, or simply acknowledge the communication, confirming that they have received and accepted the call, or have undertaken the task requested of them. Multitone Appear Lite has been designed to precisely meet this need.

• The user interface has been simplified, as with Multitone Pagers, tone alerts are used to signal message receipt, this is a feature that distinguishes Multitone Appear Lite from other app based messaging solutions.

• On receipt of a message, the app automatically sends a device acknowledgement and on reading the message, a read receipt.

To ensure the recipient has not only received the message, they are also required to ‘accept’ the message. This gives a clear signal to the sender that the recipient not only read the message but also understood and accepted or any action associated with the communication.
