Apple Pie is a fun social media app curated just for teachers! Take the teachers’ lounge to the Apple Pie app. A teachers-only social media app, you can follow other teachers, post/share your status, and join online communities. You can also link your TpT account. With the support from your Apple Pie community, being a teacher will be more fun and less stressful.

Turn to Apple Pie when you need help with classroom management, project planning, or just want to share a cute story about one of your students. When you sign up, you can build your profile and network based on your department. Even so, you can still find and connect with anyone easily.

Home
See posts from people you follow. React, comment, and share posts (if allowed by user).

Search
Search posts using relevant hashtags. Find other teachers in your department, at your school, or in your district. You can also search by what you need, such as tips, subject, teacher wellness, and grade.

Post
Categorize your posts by subject and grade level, then give your post a title. Post about how today’s lesson went, or whatever teacher thoughts you may have. You can add media, tag others, and include documents & links.

Saved
Go back to saved posts for inspiration or to keep important information handy.

Profile
Includes profile photo, an “About Me” header, followed by (optional) personal details such as location, birthday, and personal links. Profile also states the teacher’s subject(s). Displays post and follower/following count.

Tools
Edit profile, Share profile, Settings, About app, Share app, Terms & conditions, Privacy policy, Blocked users, and Log out.
Settings include a notification switch and privacy settings, such as who can see your birthday, city, subject, pages, and your header bio.

Founded by Marissa Keim, Apple Pie is an app for teachers, made by teachers. It is a digital teachers’ lounge, connecting educators through social media. Share helpful ideas, and find the resources you need as well. It’s a social media platform to post about how the kids liked the lesson of the day, or your daily teacher routine. Build a network of friends in education that understand you, without the pressure of a formal PLC. You can also add your TpT account, or blog links. On Apple Pie, you can become teacher-famous, or organize with your colleagues. Apple Pie is for PK-12 educators.
