Articulate L Lite

This is a sampler version of Articulate L. It's a is a great clinical tool for a speech therapist, but it can also be used by parents to help their children practice the "l' sound. English language learners may also find this app helpful for pronunciation practice.


The full version of this app consists of 145 images with optional spoken words and text, providing “l” practice through auditory bombardment or flashcard drilling. A fun and visually appealing matching game keeps children motivated to practice their articulation while they play.

Articulate L, was created by an ASHA certified and licensed speech-language pathologist. It is suitable for those who omit or distort the /l/ sound. The app is also useful for those who substitute a “w” or a “y” for the “l” sound. Use this app to address the phonological processes of liquid gliding, cluster simplification, weak syllable deletion and final consonant deletion.
