Ask LMU by YAM

"Ask LMU" is a Video Q&A app built by the YAM team specifically for students and faculty at Loyola Marymount University!

You can either pose questions to (i) the entire community or (ii) individual users directly. You may even stand to earn a quick buck by providing great video answers to questions (through tips and unlocking fees).

How does "Ask LMU" work?

1. As the "Asker" (ie. person asking a question):

You can pose your question either to (i) entire community or (ii) directly to another individual user.

You can offer a tip (say $10; purchased as in-app Coins) along with the question in order to incentivize him/her to answer the question. If you don't receive an answer within 7 days, the $10 will be credited back to your "Ask LMU" account as in-app Coins.

2. As the "Answerer" (ie. person answering a question):

You can post a video answer to questions being asked to the entire community.

As for questions that are directed only to you, you have 7 days to answer the question, after which it expires. Once you've published your video answer, whatever amount of tip offered by the "Asker" will be credited into your "Ask LMU" earnings account.

3. As the "Viewer" (ie. any other users who wishes to view a video answer):

Most videos are free to view. Some videos (as dictated by the user posting the video) may require Coins to unlock. In such cases, the first half of the videos are FREE for preview.

It may take Coins to unlock and get unlimited access to rest of the video. The earnings will go back (50-50) to the users who asked and answered the question respectively.
