Aspect Ratio Calculator Tool
What is it about?
This application allows you to manually input sizes or load images to calculate aspect ratios.
App Store Description
This application allows you to manually input sizes or load images to calculate aspect ratios.
It ensures that the aspect ratios of the entered sizes or loaded image dimensions fall within realistic bounds. The minimum set aspect ratio is 0.5 (a 1:2 ratio), and the maximum is 2.39 (approximately a 21:9 ratio). If the input exceeds these limits, the calculation will not be performed, and an error message will be displayed.
What is an aspect ratio?
The aspect ratio refers to the ratio between the long side (width) and the short side (height) of a rectangle. To determine the aspect ratio, you calculate the greatest common divisor (GCD) of the width and height, and then divide both dimensions by this GCD. The greatest common divisor is the largest number that can divide two or more integers without leaving a remainder.
For example, if the resolution is 1920×1080, the greatest common divisor is 120.
Width: 1920 / 120 = 16
Height: 1080 / 120 = 9
As a result, the aspect ratio is 16:9.
