The ATIC terminology is a nursing interface vocabulary aim at easing the representation of the observations on individuals' health status - assessment -, clinical judgment - diagnoses and outcomes -, and interventions. The acronym ATIC contains the concepts of : Architecture, Terminology, Interface, Information, Nursing and Knowledge, in the catalan spelling.
ATIC app is a tool to support nursing clinical judgment, containing the diagnostic concepts of the ATIC terminology for its use in the clinical practice. This app is addressed to registered nurses, nurse specialists, nurse managers, researchers and lecturers, as well as graduate and post-graduate nursing students, or other healthcare professionals interested in discovering or widening their knowledge on this standardized language system.
Contents are organized into 4 main sections allowing diagnosis location and consultation: (1) General Index, structuring the diagnoses alphabetically, (2) Specialties, introducing the diagnoses into several knowledge settings, (3) Topics, organizing the diagnoses onto thematic groups and (4) Search, allowing keyword searches to locate and consult diagnoses.
The app also offers a language option from english to spanish and a general information section.
Each diagnosis contains its code, diagnostic label, definition (with images, if needed), information on causes, manifestations, risk factors or other assertional knowledge, synonyms and/or almost-synonyms, and finally the year of the last update.
The user may also browse the app contents using internal links, which ease quick consultation of related diagnoses.
