augmented[archive] is a digital art project; a growing, expanding archive, a topography of the possible, a map of fragments from a city's manifold presents. augmented[archive]AR is a further development of the platform and integrates 4dimensional experiences. augmented[archive]AR has been developed for “Utopian Tours” a series of participatory performances that address current issues of gentrification and displacement in Berlin, while creating a futuristic-visionary scenario for the city. In Utopian Tours, augmented reality sculptures function as “Monuments of the Future”, and are interwoven in an alternative narration of the city. Here urban space takes place as a social sculpture, in the spirit of Fluxus artist Joseph Beuys. With humor and belief in the political potential of imagination, Utopian Tours aim to make the utopian free spaces we dream of experienceable in the present.
