App Store Description

The Augmented City project intends to value the city memory by activating and sharing the lived history of its inhabitants in the physical urban environment. By means of image, text, audio and video, citizens are invited to share and geolocate their city memories through www.cidadeaumentada.org. Once a memory is activated, it can be accessed in Augmented Reality in the geolocated context by mobile devices with internet connection.

When the application starts, the closest memory points to the user’s location will be displayed on the map.
User chooses one of the memory points. If the geolocated memory point is less than 100 meters away, user is capable to access the memory tapping the camera icon on the footer.
Once in camera mode, user positions the memory point within the radar. This will allow image, audio, video and text to be accessed in augmented reality through the device’s camera.
When the memory point is less than 1km and more than 100 meters away, the application traces a walking route for user reaching the memory, by tapping the pedestrian icon.
When the memory point is more than 1km away, a map service to drive to the location is available, by tapping the map icon.
