The Baseline measurement, together with a health questionnaire, is a digital screening tool for a health check-up by measuring physical activity, sedentary behaviour and sleep.
It is an easy and cost-effective way to assess the activities of daily living, workload and leisure time. It may also be part of an annual health check-up, part of recruitment process or part of other lifestyle interventions.
The system consists of a small and lightweight activity sensor, a belt clip, a sleep bracelet and a mobile application. During the Baseline period the user is not able to see their activity accumulation, while the remaining measurement time and the progress are shown.
After completion of the Baseline period, the application provides a summary of the results including comparison to the population reference values. Detailed individual and anonymous group reports are later sent by email to the user and the health care unit.
N.B. this application does not work without the Baseline activity sensor.
