HOW IT WORKS

1. Craft Your Story
Create a unique profile with prompts that share the real you.

2. Discover People Nearby
Baxstory uses your device location to detect other users within roughly 150 meters.

2b. Optional Background Discovery
Turn on Background Location Updates (in-app) and choose Always in iOS Settings to keep your nearby list fresh while the app is in the background.
(Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.)

3. Make Connections
When you're near another user, you may both receive a notification and can view each other’s profiles. Give anonymous hearts — or break the ice in person.

LOCATION PRIVACY & CONTROL

• Your precise location is never shared with other users — it’s used only for secure proximity detection.
• Distances are displayed only in approximate increments (e.g., 25m). You can hide your distance anytime.
• You are always in control: going Incognito or signing out immediately deletes your last known location and hides your profile.
• Baxstory is not designed for employee monitoring, workplace tracking, or continuous location surveillance.
• Baxstory is free, and we will never sell or share your location data.


SAFETY & ENFORCEMENT

• We have a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users.
• We review and act on all valid reports within 24 hours, including content removal and account suspension.
• Help keep the community safe using the Report and Block options available on every profile.
