Beakd

I created Beakd as a way for me to get into bird watching. Now you can too!

Beakd is a simple app without the overwhelming UI and complexity of other Bird-Watching apps. I created it with the intention of being a way to get outdoors and share your bird-discoveries with your friends!



Currently only birds found commonly in the Western United States are supported. More coming soon!



Features:
- Add pins to a map detailing recently sighted birds.
- Customize your profile for friends to see!
- Add friends and view their pins and bird sightings on your map!
- A 'Beakdex' that tracks the birds you've seen and shows you the ones you're missing
- Over 300 different species of birds!




It is a very simple app that I created in my free time. Upcoming features include:
- Unlock new icons and borders as you see more species!
- An "egg hatching" system integrated with the iOS health App
- More interactions with your friends
- More details on the Beakdex
