Beammit

Most of us have a phone in our pocket and a social profile online, yet it’s still impossible to know who’s around you. Beammit is a location-based social network that lets you discover people nearby and post locally.

All you have to do is open the app, and you’ll see a list of other nearby users in a tiled feed. Anyone within a half-mile radius will show up here. You can also send people messages.

Toggle over to the bulletin, and you’ll be able to see a list of posts from other users in your area. Bulletin posts are visible to anyone within a 5-mile radius. Posts can be favorited and commented on, so make sure to join the conversation.

Whether you’re at a networking event, on campus, at a coffee shop. or simply out and about - make sure to open Beammit to see what’s around you.
