The Beer Converter is a free app that converts food, workout and achievements to your favorite beer. It calculates how many calories certain food contains and how many calories you burn while working out and converts those calories into your favorite beer.
Various achievements and good deeds are also evaluated in terms of beers. In other words The Beer Converter gives you a Beer Perspective, or Beerspective, on food, workout and achievements.
Food to beer converter: Users can choose between various beer brands and portions of beer which results in a certain number of calories. They can then calculate the calorie equivalent of various foodstuffs and compare it to the number of calories in the beer of their choice.
Workout to beer converter: By the same token the user can calculate how many calories he or she has burned through various kinds of workouts or hard labour and convert that to the beer of their choice from the perspective of calories only. The chosen workout, the duration of the workout and the person’s weight are variables that affect the outcome.
Achievement to beer converter: The third option calculates how much beer you can earn yourself by various achievements or good deeds. That conversion is not calorie-dependent and is simply a non-scientific personal evaluation of the creators of the BeerConverter of the various achievements and good deeds that the user can choose from. The app will further ask about the achievements in 2 questions to give a full evaluation of that particular achievement. If you don’t find your achievement available to choose from you, may send us your achievement through facebook and we will evaluate the achievement.
The results of the conversion and calculation of the BeerConverter should never be taken scientifically. The BeerConverter does not support excessive drinking. Never use the BeerConverter if you have the slightest suspicion that you may suffer from alcoholism or are at risk of developing alcoholism.
In food to beer The BeerConverter only calculates the number of calories and compares that to the calorie equivalent of a chosen beer. That has nothing to do with either the beer or the compared food being healthier than food for that individual. We fully state that alcohol is not healthy for you and especially unhealthy in large quantities.
The user can add the beers he has earned to “The Fridge” to be consumed later and when he has had some beers in the real world he can remove them from the Fridge. This way the user can keep track of his beer inventory or Beerventory.
Portions can vary and “light”, health or fat-free versions my be available for the same kind of the general food categories available for conversion. The BeerConverter generally goes for the regular unhealthy version in its comparison with calories in beer.
BeerConverter does not suggest that any beer is healthier than any food for any one, even though beer may contain less calories than some food stuffs such as food oils, avocado or bananas.
If you are under the minimum drinking age of your country or state, do not use this app. If you are a resident in a country or state that does not allow alcoholic adverts, images, logos or other alcohol related material, then do not use this app.
Users do not have to sign in to access the BeerConverter app. They can however post the results of the BeerConverter directly on to Facebook and Twitter if those apps are available in the smart device they are using the app.
