Black History TV is a showcase of black excellence. The brainchild and creation of award-winning writer, producer, and director Darryl Edric Pugh, Sr.

Since 1982, he and his wife and production partner Renée have produced more than 10 terabytes (900 hours) of this priceless collection of black voices.

BHTV is street television that features some of the most iconic voices in black business, entertainment, politics, sports, medicine, and the military.

A former topical producer for the syndicated Oprah Winfrey show and former producer, technical director, and editor for Black Entertainment Television, Darryl saw a void in documenting the positive side of black culture and filled it.

This reality video library is estimated to be one of the largest of its kind and will leave a living legacy for all fortunate enough to have found their story in the viewfinder and lens of the Pugh’s.
