Survivorship encompasses a range of lifestyle approaches to improve wellbeing and survival after a diagnosis of cancer. This application aims to focus on diet and exercise as a way to improve the awareness of cancer survivors and enhance quality of life.

Activity and improved Body Mass Index (BMI) after a diagnosis of cancer have been shown to improve patients’ chances of being well and free of disease. During cancer treatment exercise will help keep muscles from wasting due to inactivity, improve blood flow and lower the risk of blood clots, help maintain a healthy BMI and improve overall quality of life.

After cancer treatment people often feel unsure what to do next and what measures they can do to improve their chances of avoiding any cancer related problems. Several research studies have shown that cancer survivors who can embark on healthy diet and exercise to maintain and improve their BMI and overall wellbeing will do better than people with poor nutrition and BMI.
