THIS IS THE PLACE is your tool to explore the world, a map app designed for humans.

HONG KONG & SINGAPORE BUS

- Bus arrival times and route information. Hong Kong supports KMB, Citybus, Green Minibus, MTR Bus, and New Lantao Bus. The app also includes the MTR, Light Rail, and tram route maps for Hong Kong, as well as the MRT route map for Singapore.
- Hong Kong: Display fares and the total journey time.
- Know the bus network coverage for any location, displaying on the map all destinations that can be reached directly without transfers from that location.
- Point-to-point direct route search, with the ability to continuously increase walking distance until a route is found.
- Home Screen arrival times widgets.
- Continuously track arrival times and display Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
- Departure reminders: Set an alarm a few minutes before the bus arrival time. Supports Live Activities.
- Get off alert: Reminds you to prepare to alight a certain distance (customizable) before the arrival. During the journey, display Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, showing the distance remaining to the destination.
- Bookmark a specific stop along the route for quickly checking arrival times of nearby bookmarks.

Create shortcuts and run them use Siri without opening the app, allowing you to:

- Get Siri to announce arrival times without picking up your phone, while wearing AirPods.
- View arrival times for multiple bus routes. For example, if there are multiple routes from your home to your workplace, you can create a shortcut to show the arrival times for all those routes, making it easy to see which one has a bus arriving first. By creating such shortcuts for each frequently visited location, you can simply say to Siri, "Return home from [a certain place]," and immediately see the arrival times for various routes from that location!
- Create personal automation in the Shortcuts app to automatically display arrival times for your commute to and from work.

WORLDWIDE PLACES BY CATEGORY & FIND RESTAURANTS BY CUISINE

Displays places within a 2-kilometer radius based on the category you select. There are numerous types of places, including restaurants, grocery stores, parks, playgrounds, museums, cinemas, libraries, sports facilities, various types of shops, restrooms, parking lots, gas stations, charging stations, banks, ATMs, pharmacies, hospitals, and more, totaling over 48 categories.

Restaurant category can be filtered by over 80 different cuisines and dishes (availability varies by region). You can narrow the search radius or switch between selected cuisines to browse restaurants. After selecting a restaurant, you can open the Reviews menu to jump to Google Maps for reviews. You can bookmark interesting restaurants and switch to "My Places" mode to view only your bookmarked places.

PLACE BOOKMARKING

Tap on any place shown on the map to check its reviews on various travel platforms, bookmark the place locally, and add your own notes or comments. Search for places by keyword. This can be used for trip planning. When you are traveling to a destination by transport, you can set arrival reminders with Live Activity: displaying the remaining distance to the destination and receiving a notification before arrival to remind you to prepare to disembark.

- Supported place review platforms: Google Maps, Tripadvisor, Yelp, Foursquare, OpenRice, Dianping, Xiaohongshu, and Taiwan's iFoodie (some may require you to have the corresponding app installed).
- One-tap navigation supported with the following map apps: Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Gaode Maps.

Check weather forecasts for any location in the world, with bookmarked cities marked on a 3D globe.
