**Why bring-your-own-cup?**

Did you know Metro Vancouver threw out 174 million disposable cups in 2020? This linear system of take-make-dispose (resulting in over-extraction and growing landfills) is an enormous stress on our planet. One effective way to reduce consumer waste is to avoid it in the first place. At BYO, we encourage users to skip disposable cups by bringing their own — replacing disposable culture with a more eco-friendly, reuse culture.
