App Store Description

Early childhood science is best taught as ACTIVE EXPLORATION. Cabinet of Curiosities is a hands-on, minds-on science app. It allows your students to engage in an action-oriented and inquiry-based approach to doing science. Each young learner will create his or her own “cabinet of curiosities,” a series of collections that require gathering data, taking photographs, and recording observations.

Here’s how it works: 1.Young scientists will name a collection, i.e., rocks, leaves, birds, butterflies, etc. (There is a maximum of 20 collections). 2. He or she will create each collection, adding up to 21 specimens per collection. 3. For each specimen, students can add up to 6 photos, a typed description, and/or record a 30-second audio.

No outside links. No data is collected by any outside entity. The data resides only on your device. If parents, teachers or students want a permanent record of a child’s Cabinet of Curiosities, screen shots can be taken and printed.

The Cabinet of Curiosities app provides young scientists an opportunity observe, learn, and gather data. Help your students develop an enthusiasm for inquiry, discover, nature, and science!
