Caddi

The Caddi app was created to help golf courses better serve their customers on the course. The app allows golfers to make food and drink orders from their phone anywhere on the course and send that information directly to the beverage cart. The beverage cart, equipped with a tablet, can then see the order's location in real-time on a map and serve the order directly. Our system allows for golfers to be served more efficiently ensuring they get their order when they want it. No more does the golfer have to wait to flag down the beverage cart to get a drink. Our system is beneficial both to the golfers and the golf course.

The Caddi Platform requires real-time location tracking to track the orders of customers as they move around on the golf course. Real-time tracking on the app is a must to ensure the person delivering the products can accurately locate the customer on the course as they move. Tracking is required from the moment the item is ordered to the moment the item is delivered. This requires us to track the location as the app is running in the background as most users will navigate away from our app to use their phones in other manners. Once the order is delivered we no longer track the customer.
