Calvary Chapel Socorro has been formed as a fellowship of local believers under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We gather for the purpose of knowing and glorifying Jesus Christ. As individuals in Christ's body we desire to be conformed into the image of Jesus Christ.
We are not a demoninational church, nor are we opposed to demoninations as such, only to their over-emphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the body of Christ. We are a church that shares a similar philosophy of ministry with Calvary Chapel fellowships throughout the world. As our church grows, we pray our faith and vision will also grow. For that reason, we might be called a fellowship subject to changes that God requires.
We believe the only true basis of Christian fellowship is Christ's agape love, which is greater than any differences we possess, and without which we have no right to claim ourselves to be Christians.
