Camp Where helps you locate and reserve public campgrounds all over the US and Canada
Camp Where
Campwhere is a fantastic alternative to the essential app. The only downside is that this app has a much smaller database, with only about 9,500 sites within the United States and Canada. The app layout and interface are quite good and well thought out. While the app is a bit expensive, it very well may suit your needs perfectly.

We focus only on public campgrounds – and we cover them more completely and in more detail than any other campground app. Well over half of all public campgrounds DO NOT accept reservations – Camp Where is the only app that tells you which do and which don’t and provides a reservation phone number and direct link to the appropriate reservation web site. Camp Where is also the only app that gives you elevation for campgrounds – crucially important for campers in mountainous states.
Camp Where provides detailed information on 11,500 public campgrounds in the United States and Canada. These include all car-accessible US and Canadian National Parks, National Forests, Corps of Engineers, TVA, BLM, State Parks, State Forests, State Recreation Areas, Canadian Provincial Parks, County and City campgrounds. Unlike some campground compilations, we do not list campgrounds that are little more than a level place to park an RV – ours must have facilities such as tables and toilets.
All campgrounds are accurately mapped, providing reliable latitude/longitude and coordinate-based road directions. Camp Where is integrated with the Navigon iPhone App for off-line routing. Most campgrounds have details such as phone numbers, RV hookups, reservations, current and forecasted weather, elevation and more. Web links and phone numbers are provided for further information.
Camp Where does not include privately owned campgrounds.
